Post system – round

Round post balustrades divide the guarding line into bays with stainless or powder-coated posts and clear glass infills. Post centres, glass thickness and clamp pressure are chosen to meet the line load for the occupancy category, while the posts themselves carry overturning moments into the slab or stair steel.

They suit hospitality terraces and residential balconies where a rhythm of posts helps users read the edge without a heavy balustrade mass. Glass remains monolithic toughened or laminated toughened per bay, which keeps replacement straightforward if a single panel is damaged after handover.

Standard Glass Specification

Outer: 12–15mm toughened glass infill per bay with polished vertical arrises.
Cavity: Not applicable — single lite per bay between posts.
Inner: Same monolithic lite; upgraded to laminated toughened where impact class demands.
Posts: Round stainless or coated posts with adjustable clamps and isolating gaskets.
Spacing: Post centres issued only after line load, height and glass characteristic strength are matched.
