Modular rooflight

Modular rooflights repeat a standard bay width along a roof to even out daylight and simplify procurement. Each module shares the same curb detail, cavity build-up and cap profile, which reduces tolerance stack-up when you are covering long studio or corridor roofs.

We treat the run as a coordinated kit: joint positions, movement allowances and drainage at junctions are set out against the structural grid. Where one bay sits over a kitchen and the next over a study, glass make-up can still vary per module while the aluminium interface stays consistent for the roofer.

Standard Glass Specification

Outer: 6mm toughened glass with optional neutral solar-control coating on long south-facing runs.
Cavity: 16–20mm argon-filled cavity depending on span, acoustic target and spacer specification.
Inner: 8.8mm laminated low-E toughened glass where wider bays need a heavier inner leaf.
Jointing: Bay-to-bay caps designed for drained vertical joints without pinching the EPDM upstand.
Variation: Per-bay schedule changes (acoustic interlayer, tint) without altering fixing centres.
